Preakness offers a multiple levels of care and a range of specialties and services.

• Nursing Care
  Our nursing staff is highly trained, and among the most qualified staff you will encounter. We have full time Nurse Practitioners, Nurses Certified in Gerontology, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses And State Certified Nursing Assistants. RN's are on staff 24 hours a day.
• Physician Services
  Preakness' medical team is supervised by a Board Certified Medical Director who oversees a team of consulting physicians specializing in diverse medical disciplines.
• Nurse Practitioners
  Board Certified Nurse Practitioners provide immediate, on-site primary care services on a daily basis acting as a liaison between resident, family and physician.
• Rehabilitation
  We offer a state of the art rehabilitation program for both short-term and long-term placement. Our Rehab Department is comprised of Certified Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists, working in concert with our staff physiatrist to help maximize the personal potential of each resident.
• Social Services
  Licensed clinical social workers assess the individual needs and emotional health of residents on a daily basis, providing resident advocacy as well as counseling for the resident's family.
• Dietary Services
  Our food preparation is overseen by a graduate of the Culinary Institute. Registered dietitians plan well balanced, delicious meals to ensure residents are provided proper nutrition regardless of their dietary limitations and cultural background. Preakness prepares over 1600 meals a day for Passaic County's Meals on Wheels Program.
• Chaplain Services
  Pastoral care programs address the spiritual needs of our residents. We provide services for people of various faiths and religions.
• Activities
  Preakness offers a variety of therapeutic and diversional recreation programs addressing the individual needs of our residents. All programming is developed and supervised by certified professionals.
• Grooming Services
  Preakness features on-site Beauty Parlor and Barber Shop services operated by licensed barbers and beauticians.
