Healthcare Honors Its Volunteers
Wayne
- On Wednesday afternoon, October 25, Preakness Healthcare Center
held its annual Volunteer Luncheon at Wayne Elks Lodge 2181
on Hinchman Avenue in Wayne.. The purpose of the gathering is to thank
the many Volunteers for giving so much of their time and effort
in doing an outstanding job.
The
welcome and introductions were conducted by Director of Volunteers,
Pat Vandenbree, and Executive Director Lucinda Corrado offered
Words of endearment. In her message, Mrs. Corrado referred to the
volunteers' kindness and helpfulness, and said, "Thanks
for making someone else's life a bit better."
With regard to doing voluntary work at a health care center,
volunteers Anne, Lucille and Mae all stated that, "It makes
you feel good, doing something you like. The people are so welcoming,
they're so happy to see us. They really appreciate it."
